== Repairing MvSubNavs for special moves ==
Hello again, it's been a while. I've been using the move hitbox data subpages a lot recently, but there's a consistent problem I keep running into with the MvSubNav template used on these pages. Normally, you can click on the game tabs at the top of the navigator to view the page for the same move in a different game, assuming a page for it exists (which many users are diligently working to ensure is the case). However, Smash 4 throws a spanner in the works, because of custom moves. The hitbox subpages have an extra sublevel to account for these, being default, custom 1 and custom 2, and when navigating from another game to Smash 4's page, you are automatically redirected to the default variant. However, when navigating from Smash 4 to another game, you are not redirected, and are sent to a non-existant subpage for that special move. This makes navigating rather frustrating, as you have to manually edit the URL or find the page using the search bar, and I think it's enough of an issue for the end user to warrant fixing. I was wondering if there was some way the MvSubNav template could be edited to automatically account for this, as creating a series of redirects to fix this would be costly. Obviously I wouldn't have any idea how to do this, so I came to you since you're the wiki's template expert. Do you think this is worth fixing? And could a solution be found that doesn't involve a massive amount of redirects? Would this perhaps need a proposal first? :I've been aware of this problem for a while. It's not high on the priority list because:
:#It's pretty minor. I'm honestly not sure if anyone else is using the game-swap tabs in the first place, I just put them in because they felt cool rather than useful.
:#The fix does not look easy. I have a couple of ideas, but they're all pretty complicated for such a small thing, and some of them will cause the wiki to think "there's a redlink here" anyways.
:#It's not clear what the correct solution should even be. Should the tabs exist, but point to the base special move instead? Or should the tabs just not be there in the first place, like other cases where that game doesn't have this move? Both seem equally valid.
