*Wario and Bowser Jr. are the only playable antagonists to not appear in this event.
*Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Dark Pit appear as villains in this match, but they are all considered anti-heroes rather than villains (as the rest of the characters are). However, Meta Knight uses his dark blue alternate costume with red eyes, and although this does not match the color scheme of Dark Meta Knight from ''Kirby and the Amazing Mirror'', this costume may have been used due to its "evil" appearance. Likewise, he did appear as the main antagonist of the ''Kirby Super Star'' mini-game "Revenge of Meta Knight" as well as generally being a recurring boss enemy in the ''Kirby'' series- so he could arguably count as a villain.
*Contrary to popular belief, Meta Knight’s presence in this event does not represent [https://wikirby.com/wiki/Dark_Meta_Knight Dark Meta Knight].
