The first installment of the SEAT series broke the previous attendance record set by @M. SEAT was the first Australian tournament to make a genuine effort to deviate from traditional [[Tournament#Double Elimination Bracket|double elimination]] tournaments. It incorporated a unique manual randomization of several qualifying rounds, with the highest scorers advancing to a final. {{Sm|Kupo}} easily won the tournament, unchallenged by runner up {{Sm|CATS}}.


[[SEAT]] (South Eastern Australia Tournament) was the first in a series of tournaments, post [[@M]], that attempted to solidify the Melbourne Smash Community, at a time the community was highly embraced. The first installment of the SEAT series was held on the 22nd of September, 2005 and broke the previous attendance record set by [[@M]]. It was held at the Kingston Arts Centre in Moorabbin, south of Melbourne, Australia. [[Kupo]] easily won the tournament, unchallenged by runner up [[CATS]].
