===Rise of Challengers===
===Rise of Challengers===
Despite the latter half of the season starting out strong, with acola going on a 4-major win streak, he began to show cracks in his dominance. The first in these were three game 5's against Miya that were all incredibly close, showing that Miya was catching up with acola. The second was at DELTA#5, when acola dropped a set to Hurt, marking the first time he dropped a set to a player that was not Sparg0 since Smash Ultimate Summit 6. At Kagaribi #11, acola was hungry for a second premiere win. However, after beating Rising stars Flow and Kanninabe, as well as zackray, he lost in a close game 5 to Miya. After being double eliminated in grand finals, there were questions as to whether or not Miya could surpass acola in the following year. Port Priority 8, the final premiere set the stage to see who could come out on top. Acola began to struggle as he had numerous game 5's against  players such as ApolloKage and Umeki. Additionally, he was washed 3-0 by Sonix, the #4 player, in his first set against him. Acola perfmoed a short losers run until he lost to Miya 1-3 to place 3rd, the first time he finsihed outside the top 2 since GENESIS 9. With this, acola faced the prospect of having negative records against all the other players in the top 4 if Miya beat him again, and if he could not defeat Sonix. This set the stage for Watch The Throne, the end-of year invitational with all  of the top 5 in attendance.
