The first day of singles saw the largest upset of the season, with #159 seed {{Sm|BIGDUCKHUNTFAN7000}} upsetting #2 seed {{Sm|Tweek}} 3-1 (upset factor 13).
On second day of singles, the main stream faced technical difficulties, however the tournament ran without delays, which led to most of top 32 to be unstreamed, including {{Sm|Dabuz}} vs Tweek. The second day also saw the top four seeds all compete in Loser's side prior to top 8, with #1 seed {{Sm|Sparg0}} losing to #9 seed {{Sm|Zomba}} 3-1 (upset factor 6), #3 seed {{Sm|Light|p=Connecticut}} losing to #14 seed {{Sm|Maister}} 3-2 (upset factor 5), and #4 seed {{Sm|MkLeo}} losing to #5 seed {{Sm|Sonix}} 3-0. Ultimately, only MkLeo failed to qualify for top 8, as he was eliminated by Light 3-1 at 9th. On the other hand, the Winner's side saw two unexpected faces: #86 seed {{Sm|Atreus}}, who upset Maister 3-2 (upset factor 5); and #26 seed {{Sm|Tilde}}, who upset #10 seed 3-1 {{Sm|Kurama}}. Both players ultimately finished 5th and 3rd, respectively, with Tilde's run marking the best performance for a {{SSBU|Falco}} player at a major up to that point.
After losing to Zomba, Sparg0 made a strong Loser's bracket run, defeating Kurama, Light, Atreus, Zomba in the runback, and Tilde to enter Grand Finals. However, Sonix ultimately defeated Sparg0 3-1, marking Sonix's second-ever major win, and first-ever supermajor win.
