I fully understand and agree with removing the trivia mentions for tier list placements such as "best third party" or "worst clone". However, there's one that I think is legitimately useful that I saw you remove from Sonic (SSBU): "best base game fighter". I honestly think this one is notable for two reasons: 1. Smash 4 dlc can no longer be bought, so if a player forgot or didn't want to buy Bayonetta they literally can't get her anymore unless they use somebody else's system, and 2. Players would have legitimate reason not to fork over 6 dollars to unlock a character or 25/30 for a pass, rather than simply preference if they were a clone or from a specific series. I would like to double check your opinion on listing the "best base game fighter" in case it also needs to be removed from Diddy Kong (SSB4), especially since that game is the one where dlc can no longer be bought. :Whether or not a character has been bought by a particular player has little bearing on a character's existence in a game at all. Additionally, tournament setups must have the DLC downloaded in case someone happens to main a DLC character, meaning that, in terms of a tier list, the separation of "base game" and "downloadable" have little separation. ::You raise some pretty good points, and I did remove the mention from the Diddy Kong page because of that. However, I'm starting to have second thoughts for that page, since Smash 4 is the game where you literally can't unlock Bayonetta anymore if you didn't already have her. I get that Smash 4's competitive scene is mostly dead, but would it still be worth mentioning the best base game character for games where DLC is literally no longer purchasable? I'll let it stay off of Sonic's page since Ultimate DLC is still purchasable. Unnamed anon (talk) 17:28, April 9, 2023 (EDT)
