He is considered the best Roy player in the world and one of the best Cloud players in the world when he actively uses the character. Kola is currently ranked 1st on the [[Georgia Power Rankings#Super Smash Bros. Ultimate rankings|Georgia Ultimate Power Rankings]], 5th on [[OrionRank Mid-Year 2022]] and 13th on the [[UltRank 2022]]; he is also considered one of the best online players and is an Honorable Mention on the [[Wi-Fi Warrior Rank v7]] due to inactivity.

Kola occasionally dabbles in ''Melee'' as a {{SSBM|Fox}} main. He has a set win against {{Sm|Omar|p=Nevada}}, while having taken games from players such as {{Sm|nut}} and {{Sm|aMSa}}.

In ''Smash 4'', Kola employs a seek and punish playstyle, looking for opportunities to gain [[Limit]]. He looks for whiff punishes and tests his opponents approaches with [[Cross Slash]]. He prefers to stay in the air to call out jumps with up aerial. Although he plays from hit to hit, when he does land a move, his punish game is strong, seeking to push his advantage in any opening his opponent gives him.

Kola is a very aggressive player who utilizes {{SSBU|Roy}}’s fast movement, powerful attacks, and quick frame data, and when combined with his proficient parry and shield game, makes his Roy a formidable opponent in close quarter melee combat. He also utilizes jabs, aerials, and tilts quite efficiently, creating opportunities for custom combos, pushing his opponents offstage quickly. Adept game knowledge, quick reactions, and the ability to put himself in position advantages make Kola's Roy an imposing presence on and offstage.

When using Cloud, Kola's play-style does not change much. However, what is different is a faster pace and incorporation of Blade Beam and forward aerial into the neutral. Cross Slash is used to test the opponent's reactions on shield. Due to Cloud's change in Limit when ported to ''Ultimate'', he is a lot more liberal with using Blade Beam or Cross Slash to call out an opponent's dash or to protect his own landings. His Cloud has a particular trait of constantly looking to catch his opponent's double jump and to use Blade Beam to pressure opponents on the ledge.

Kola's Snake sets up [[Hand Grenade]]s and [[C4]] before quickly looking for a burst option with dash attack. His ability to seek out jumps is also shown in his Snake, which he uses neutral aerial and back aerial to stuff opponent's approaches. He also looks to poke with down tilt and to test opponent's reactions with forward tilt and grenade, similar to Cloud. Although Snake is considered to be a zoner, Kola is willing to approach and box with Snake's grounded options, making great use of grenades, tilts, and dash attacks to create openings for him to abuse.

Kola is also well-known for his ability to "channel his anger", especially when dealt against an unfavorable or frustrating matchup. While most other players would falter or play worse when tilted, Kola tends to play even better, quickening the pace of the game and having an even stronger advantage state. This has led to him being able to take wins in situations or matchups he was not expected to. However, He is also often prone to [[Self-destruct|self-destructing]] when in this state, sometimes costing him the game.
