Cloud9 (C9) is a professional esports organization based in the United States. League of Legends player Hai Lam founded the organization in 2013 as a LoL team, and since it quickly became successful, it also has expanded into Hearthstone: Heroes of WarCraft, Dota 2, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Smite and World of WarCraft.
They also opened a division for Super Smash Bros. Melee on May 6th, 2014, with Mango as its first sponsor player. In 2016, they added Ally as their first Smash 4 player and Tafokints as an official coach for Mango. However, both Ally and Tafokints left in 2018 and Mango remained their only Smash player under contract since then.
