:It's okay. Also while we're on the subject, I'd like to ask that you from now on give a reason you're adding cleanup tags (you can easily do that by putting in <nowiki>{{cleanup|<insert reason here>}}</nowiki>), because there have been quite a few you tagged in the past that didn't need to be cleaned up in any way. == Difference between s and iw? ==
Can't find it anywhere in the help pages... [[User:MuteSpittah|MuteSpittah]] ([[User talk:MuteSpittah|talk]]) 19:34, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
:s is for regular links, iw is for pages with parentheses in them. For example, doing something like <nowiki>{{s|Name (Name)}}</nowiki> will give you Name (Name). Iw will hide the parentheses from the page, but still link to the right place. [[User:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:Green; text-shadow: 0px 0px 3px green">'''Disaster'''</span> <span style="color:Blue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px blue">'''Flare'''</span>]] [[File:Disaster Flare signature image.png|20px]] ''[[User talk:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:SkyBlue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px skyblue">(talk)</span>]]'' 19:35, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
::Ok. So both are for interwiki linking? [[User:MuteSpittah|MuteSpittah]] ([[User talk:MuteSpittah|talk]]) 19:38, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
:::Yep, except we only use iw for interwiki articles that include parentheses in their names, basically to make articles look more professional. We use the s template for articles that have no parentheses in them whatsoever. Hi again Disaster Flare! I saw your undo; are you going to put my edit back up once it gets voted on? [[User:CpnFlacon|CpnFlacon]] ([[User talk:CpnFlacon|talk]]) 15:42, 19 April 2016 (EDT)
:Once more people vote and the general consensus is still "yes", then yes, it will be put back up. However, some more things will still have to be removed from it if it happens, as when I was looking through it, I found a few Falco screenshots on Fox's, and there might've been some Fox screenshots on Falco's. ::Awesome man, thanks! And yeah I think I might have missed a couple of screenshots from the galleries when I was personalizing each page. I know I missed a picture next to the Throws section of Falco's down throw on the Blaster (Fox) page. I was going to go back and replace that with one of Fox's down throw once I found a suitable and good-quality screenshot. But thanks for letting me know! When is the voting going to happen? I saw [http://www.ssbwiki.com/index.php?title=Mewtwo_(SSB4)&curid=50388&diff=856832&oldid=856828 this edit summary] and then [http://www.ssbwiki.com/index.php?title=Mewtwo_(SSB4)&diff=prev&oldid=856833 this one] and am kinda confused at your assertion. Of course it's not a buff that Mewtwo now has a Final Smash, because it's being given a universal mechanic in order to catch up with things that changed in an abscence. But how is competitive play remotely relevant to whether something is a buff/nerf or not? If a Final Smash could KO at 0% in Brawl but only 50% in SSB4, is that not a nerf regardless of how you play the game? Where do you draw the line? The Golden Hammer got a massive nerf in duration, but because it's not used in competitive play it's not a nerf? [[User:Toomai|Toomai]] [[User talk:Toomai|Glittershine]] [[Image:Toomai.png|20px|link=User:Toomai/Bin|???]] The Jiggy 17:25, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
:My main concern were the additions of Roy and Mewtwo's Final Smashes. The introductions of two new moves couldn't be seen as a buff in my eyes when said moves can't even be used. It might've been a case of bad wording, which if so, I apologize (I think this might be the case since Ethan kinda misunderstood it). Basically what I was trying to say was that since they're completely new additions, yet can't be used in competitive play, it's not exactly a buff. I dunno, maybe it doesn't make as much sense as I think it does, I'm curious to hear what you think. [[User:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:Green; text-shadow: 0px 0px 3px green">'''Disaster'''</span> <span style="color:Blue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px blue">'''Flare'''</span>]] [[File:Disaster Flare signature image.png|20px]] ''[[User talk:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:SkyBlue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px skyblue">(talk)</span>]]'' 17:30, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
::Okay let me rephrase (as I'm confirmed to not have the ability to read apparently. >_>). Since SmashWiki revolves around competitive play when it comes to changes to characters, I typically use that as the reason whenever I revert that kind of edit. [[User:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:Green; text-shadow: 0px 0px 3px green">'''Disaster'''</span> <span style="color:Blue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px blue">'''Flare'''</span>]] [[File:Disaster Flare signature image.png|20px]] ''[[User talk:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:SkyBlue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px skyblue">(talk)</span>]]'' 17:35, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
:::The wiki revolves around competitive play, but a buff's a buff. ==Peach Final Smash Buffs and Nerfs==
Hello, my edit about Peach's Final Smash got undone, and I figured that it should have been taken to the talk page. Is this the usual way to settle things here? [[User:ANИa|ANИa]] ([[User talk:ANИa|talk]]) 22:56, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
:Typically yes, but we're already waiting on Toomai's response, since he knows best about situations like this. If somebody hasn't already, I recommend going to his talk page and asking him. :Toomai is the bureaucrat of the wiki, so technically in a way, yes, he is the big boss, but that does not mean he gets the final say just because he's the boss. We're waiting on him because from what I've heard, he's dealt with something similar to this and he knows what exactly ''should'' be done. I'm still a relatively new admin, so I'm still learning the ropes compared to someone like him, who's been here since the beginning. :P [[User:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:Green; text-shadow: 0px 0px 3px green">'''Disaster'''</span> <span style="color:Blue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px blue">'''Flare'''</span>]] [[File:Disaster Flare signature image.png|20px]] ''[[User talk:Disaster Flare|<span style="color:SkyBlue;text-shadow:0px 0px 3px skyblue">(talk)</span>]]'' 23:06, 26 April 2016 (EDT)

I posted my opinion to [[User talk:Toomai#Final Smash change displayed as buff.2Fnerf or change|this section]] on my talk page already: changes to Final Smashes can indeed be buffs or nerfs, but a character being given a FS (when they have never before been in a game that had them) isn't. ==Request For Information==
Hello again, Disaster Flare! I was looking through the Wiki recently, and I noticed there were a LOT of articles regarding characters, moves, etc. that are missing technical data. I would love to help out and add this missing data, and I have MORE than enough free time in which to collect data and add it, but I have no idea where to find the information. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. [[User:CpnFlacon|CpnFlacon]] ([[User talk:CpnFlacon|talk]]) 10:16, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
:I'd love to help, but that's unfortunately not my area of expertise. IIRC, a couple of people that would know where to find that information would be BeepYou, Toomai, I believe Nyargleblargle, and Drill Blaster Mark 2. :Okay, so I've gotten the descriptions written for a bunch of moves, but I have tried entering the data for some of the moves into Hitbox Tables, but for whatever reason, no matter how I format the data in the code, the table always turns out wrong. I put in the angle, and no matter what number I put, it says Sakurai Angle. I put in the part IDs, and it says #? in red text. There are other categories that end up messed up too. I've tried copying the data from other pages that got it right, and I can't figure out what's wrong. Can you please give me some help? For the last bullet in the trivia section, he was pretty clearly not being serious when he was talking about "three crucial mistakes in his life" during that interview. ::Alright then, I have some ideas for new trivia points. Sakurai once asked someone, "have you ever made a game?" Serious or not, we should have a trivia point about his low view on non-game developers. Another fun fact bro: Sakurai once said that ZSS wouldn't be returning to battle back on April 8th, 2014. He ended up following that statement with "Nah, I'm only kidding", but serious or not, that's a pretty good trivia point man; ZSS was once considered as a scrapped character! I don't see why we can't have these trivia points. We should also have trivia points about how Hax$ regrets playing Falcon and how is life is ruined because he keeps on getting requests to literally have sex with people's girlfriends. Hello.
Greetings, previously I was uncapable of adding any sort of information about a player at all, what with not being an autoconfirmed user at the time. Kind of paradocixal, since you're naturally required to provide proof of notability for a player article to be legitimate, but how are you supposed to do that when you aren't authorised to create articles? Furthermore, there are already tons of players listed in various character pages without articles, what gives? Shieldbreakers (talk) 14:49, 29 March 2016 (EDT)
- Firstly, new comments go on the bottom. Second, you seem to be misunderstanding exactly what we want. We don't mean creating an article for the smasher as proof of notability, we mean we want a link of some notable results, like good placings in notable tournaments (for example, 3rd in a regional or something like that). You can put said link in the edit summary when you are editing an article. Additionally, articles don't HAVE to exist to be on notable players lists, that just means we have to create the articles. As long as there is sufficient proof, a smasher can go on a notable players list, regardless of if they have an article or not. Hope this helps. Disaster Flare (talk) 15:12, 29 March 2016 (EDT)
- Ah, I see. Thank you for clearing things up. I'll make sure to read the guidelines more carefully before editing and creating articles in the future. Shieldbreakers (talk) 15:39, 29 March 2016 (EDT)

Hey, I just noticed that the content on the page doesn't match up with everything I originally typed in. I drafted everything in Notepad and then copied it into the editing page, and I think some stuff got messed up/left out when I did that. There was supposed to be a table for Melee Doubles, as well as one for PM Singles. There are also some screwed up dates in the Melee Singles table, and there are some results missing, including the most recent one with n0ne. I'll get these fixed first thing tomorrow. CpnFlacon (talk) 21:46, 1 April 2016 (EDT)
- kk, keep up the good work, it's about time we did get some info there so it's great what you've got so far. :D Disaster Flare (talk) 21:47, 1 April 2016 (EDT)
- Okay I could actually use your help. For some reason, when I go to the text box for editing the page as a whole, all of the text looks fine, and the script looks like it should work. But when I look at the preview for said script, it has merged the top half of the SSBM Singles table with the entirety of the Project M Singles table, and it has deleted the SSBM Doubles table entirely. Could you help me determine what's causing this? Thanks. CpnFlacon (talk) 13:16, 2 April 2016 (EDT)
- Hmm...just looked at the problem, and I honestly can't make heads or tails of this myself. The tables are showing up in the edit box, but not when outside of it. I know someone who might be able to determine the problem though, so next time he gets on, I'll check with him to see if he knows what's going on. Disaster Flare (talk) 19:39, 2 April 2016 (EDT)

Difference between s and iw?
Can't find it anywhere in the help pages... MuteSpittah (talk) 19:34, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
- s is for regular links, iw is for pages with parentheses in them. For example, doing something like {{s|Name (Name)}} will give you Name (Name). Iw will hide the parentheses from the page, but still link to the right place. Disaster Flare (talk) 19:35, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
- Ok. So both are for interwiki linking? MuteSpittah (talk) 19:38, 10 April 2016 (EDT)
- Yep, except we only use iw for interwiki articles that include parentheses in their names, basically to make articles look more professional. We use the s template for articles that have no parentheses in them whatsoever. Disaster Flare (talk) 19:39, 10 April 2016 (EDT)

Hi again Disaster Flare! I saw your undo; are you going to put my edit back up once it gets voted on? CpnFlacon (talk) 15:42, 19 April 2016 (EDT)
- Once more people vote and the general consensus is still "yes", then yes, it will be put back up. However, some more things will still have to be removed from it if it happens, as when I was looking through it, I found a few Falco screenshots on Fox's, and there might've been some Fox screenshots on Falco's. Disaster Flare (talk) 15:47, 19 April 2016 (EDT)
- Awesome man, thanks! CpnFlacon (talk) 11:10, 20 April 2016 (EDT)
- That's a good question. You'd think more people would care to vote on something relatively significant like splitting a move article. You can vote here. John PK SMAAAASH!! 11:16, 20 April 2016 (EDT)

Uh what's this then
I saw this edit summary and then this one and am kinda confused at your assertion. Toomai Glittershine The Jiggy 17:25, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
- My main concern were the additions of Roy and Mewtwo's Final Smashes. Disaster Flare (talk) 17:30, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
- Okay let me rephrase (as I'm confirmed to not have the ability to read apparently. >_>). Since SmashWiki revolves around competitive play when it comes to changes to characters, I typically use that as the reason whenever I revert that kind of edit. Disaster Flare (talk) 17:35, 25 April 2016 (EDT)
Peach Final Smash Buffs and Nerfs
Hello, my edit about Peach's Final Smash got undone, and I figured that it should have been taken to the talk page. Is this the usual way to settle things here? ANИa (talk) 22:56, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
- Typically yes, but we're already waiting on Toomai's response, since he knows best about situations like this. If somebody hasn't already, I recommend going to his talk page and asking him. Disaster Flare (talk) 22:58, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
"This Toomai fellow, is he the boss around here? And if he is, what gives him more of a say on the matter than others?" ANИa (talk) 23:04, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
- Toomai is the bureaucrat of the wiki, so technically in a way, yes, he is the big boss, but that does not mean he gets the final say just because he's the boss. We're waiting on him because from what I've heard, he's dealt with something similar to this and he knows what exactly should be done. I'm still a relatively new admin, so I'm still learning the ropes compared to someone like him, who's been here since the beginning. :P Disaster Flare (talk) 23:06, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
Just because he knows doesn't mean that the issue can't be changed right now.
Also, how do you indent your posts on the final draft? ANИa (talk) 23:14, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
- You can indent comments by putting in a colon at the beginning of your comment. Dots (talk) The Smasher 23:25, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
Er, what exactly am I replying to here? I posted my opinion to this section on my talk page already: changes to Final Smashes can indeed be buffs or nerfs, but a character being given a FS (when they have never before been in a game that had them) isn't. Toomai Glittershine The Wacko 23:33, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
Request For Information
Hello again, Disaster Flare! I was looking through the Wiki recently, and I noticed there were a LOT of articles regarding characters, moves, etc. that are missing technical data. I would love to help out and add this missing data, and I have MORE than enough free time in which to collect data and add it, but I have no idea where to find the information. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. CpnFlacon (talk) 10:16, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
- I'd love to help, but that's unfortunately not my area of expertise. IIRC, a couple of people that would know where to find that information would be BeepYou, Toomai, I believe Nyargleblargle, and Drill Blaster Mark 2. Hope this helps. :D Disaster Flare (talk) 11:41, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
- Okay, so I've gotten the descriptions written for a bunch of moves, but I have tried entering the data for some of the moves into Hitbox Tables, but for whatever reason, no matter how I format the data in the code, the table always turns out wrong. I put in the angle, and no matter what number I put, it says Sakurai Angle. I put in the part IDs, and it says #? in red text. There are other categories that end up messed up too. I've tried copying the data from other pages that got it right, and I can't figure out what's wrong. Can you please give me some help? CpnFlacon (talk) 08:52, 9 May 2016 (EDT)

For the last bullet in the trivia section, he was pretty clearly not being serious when he was talking about "three crucial mistakes in his life" during that interview. I don't think you follow him much if you think he hasn't embraced the Hax F Money persona. The better trivia bullet would say that he attributes the birth of his Fox to Mango and PPMD at EVO 2013. But just watch the interview again, they're clearly joking around whenever that is mentioned. T5mopopop (talk) 10:20, 9 May 2016 (EDT)
- Serious or not, I don't see why we can't have the trivia point. Serpent King 10:30, 9 May 2016 (EDT)
- Because it's misinformation? T5mopopop (talk) 10:47, 9 May 2016 (EDT)
- Alright then, I have some ideas for new trivia points. Sky's the limit when you don't mark satire and jokes as satire and jokes! MegaTron1 12:20, 9 May 2016 (EDT)

- I'd take that any day over willingly being fine with misinformation on a wiki page. Glad you hold yourself to such high standards. T5mopopop (talk) 19:44, 9 May 2016 (EDT)
- Okay, but that doesn't explain why you removed the entire thing, because you haven't explained whether or not he's joking around about 20XX. Disaster Flare (talk) 19:47, 9 May 2016 (EDT)
- Why does he have to verbally explain the first minute of a video that you could Google? If the joking isn't blatantly obvious enough to make it clear that he's joking about his dislike of 20XX, then you have to mention that he's actually serious about how playing Falcon and becoming Hax F Money have ruined his life. Added info about Trela's victory at Fresh Saga on Ryu SSB4 page.
I added some info regarding Trela's victory at Fresh Saga on Ryu's SSB4 page. I think it is impressive enough to be on the page. What do you think. Falconian Leader (Enter the Leader's Office) 14:35, 10 May 2016 (EST)
- Looks good to me. :P Disaster Flare (talk) 14:37, 10 May 2016 (EDT)
Why...
Why did you redo my edit on Bowser. I'm not trying to be mean, but I think it's a bad idea to erase my edit. Mario Kart 7 Rules (talk) 16:22, 11 May 2016 (EDT)
- I already explained on the edit summary. The edit focused more on Kamek rather than Bowser himself. Disaster Flare (talk) 17:27, 11 May 2016 (EDT)
That’s okay; I made it to where it focuses on Bowser more. Mario Kart 7 Rules (talk) 19:15, 11 May 2016 (EDT)
Okay, I think I know why you deleted what I did on Charles Martinet. But why not make a small page of him. Mario Kart 7 Rules (talk) 19:09, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
- Sure, actors are important, but we report on Smash, not the actors themselves. There are plenty of other places that report of them. Disaster Flare (talk) 19:12, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
Oh I get it. Mario Kart 7 Rules (talk) 19:13, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
The IP
What do you suppose we will do if he come back, he seems semi-good faith but still, *sees red van go down my driveway*... Poultry(talk) the God-Slayer 15:48, 17 May 2016 (EDT)

How do I archive my talk page?
How do I archive my Talk Page, on my previous attempt, It didn't move to the archive and had to move it back. So how do I properly move my Talk Page to the archives? So I can't make the same mistake. Thanks! TabuuandMasterCore 16:55, 18 May 2016 (EDT)
- You did it right the first time, you just have to add some extra stuff in order for it to be a proper archive. Here I'll do it. Disaster Flare (talk) 17:15, 18 May 2016 (EDT)
Before you deleted an image.
the Double Screen KO.jpg image, I was going to put it on my User Page. Thanks for understanding. TabuuandMasterCore 20:45, 18 May 2016 (EDT)
