Blingo beat raptor a few times at that tournament how can he not be notable he came in third place . Its also referenced on dabuz wiki page even though its less then 20 entrants Blingo also beat dabuz one time . Not fair how it can be notable on one page and not the other. <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:blingottm|blingottm]] ([[User talk:blingottm|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/blingottm|contribs]]) 21:35 13 May 2016 (EDT)</small>
:First of all, please sign your comments with <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> and make new sections at the bottom of a talk page. I personally think the tournament should be removed from Dabuz's page. Independent of this, we don't just list every smasher who is notable enough for a page and who mains a character in the notable players section. They have to be iconic for their usage of a character and a top professional (someone who beats a top professional is not neccesarily a top professional themselves), criteria that Blingo does not fit. [[File:Nyargleblargle.png|16px]][[User: Nyargleblargle|<span style="color:LawnGreen">'''Nyargle</span>]][[User talk:Nyargleblargle|<span style="color: orange;">'''blargle'''</span>]] ([[Special:Contributions/Nyargleblargle|Contribs]]) 22:47, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
:Well, for starters, you need to put your messages at the bottom of talk pages (See [[SW:TALK]]). Using "new section" will place it at the bottom of the page so I recommend you use that. Also, you need to sign your comments with four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>). I was going to fix those but NyargleBlargle already took care of it while I was typing this out.
:I removed Blingo because tournaments that size aren't considered notable. And while he beat Dabuz in one match and Raptor two, he still lost the sets and they might not have been using their mains. Even if he got first those tournaments are too small. If he places well in regionals like getting top 8 or something in 100+ man tournaments with some notable players and becomes a well known Mac player, he could get his own page on the Wiki. If you show us big tournaments that he placed well in, he might be able to be put in "Notable players". -- [[User:Ethan7|<span style="color:#000f55;font-family:Cursive;font-style:italic">Ethan</span>]][[file:Ethan7sig.png|20px|link=User:Ethan7]]<small>''([[User talk:Ethan7|<span style="color:Blue">Discussion</span>]])''</small> 22:57, 13 May 2016 (EDT)

You aren't supposed to comment on Requests for Rollback unless Toomai opens it for discussion. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 13:38, 13 January 2016 (EST)
- Oh, sorry. How can I tell if it is open? Should my comment stay? -- Ethan (Discussion) 14:01, 13 January 2016 (EST)

- Okay, sorry for violating that rule. Would have been fine to normally edit it instead of reverting it? -- Ethan (Discussion) 22:50, 17 January 2016 (EST)
- No, an appropriate action would have been to bring it to the talk page. It may be a good idea for you to have a good look through our policies and guidelines. Serpent King 23:07, 17 January 2016 (EST)

Filenames[edit]
They can have spaces :P ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 17:18, 24 January 2016 (EST)
- Oh, I don't think I've really seen any files with them. I don't think I've heard of them prohibited either. -- Ethan(Discussion) 17:33, 24 January 2016 (EST)
- I don't think it matters really. Usually, I think it's more stylish to name files without spaces, though, but that's just me. I usually use hyphens. Serpent King 17:36, 24 January 2016 (EST)
- You could also use underscores (_) but there's no real reason to when spaces work :P ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 17:38, 24 January 2016 (EST)
- Yeah, I was talking about underscores when I said "For some reason it made it [the underscore] into a space". -- Ethan(Discussion) 20:31, 24 January 2016 (EST)

Buffs/nerfs[edit]
I'd be better if we indeed put how the changes to shield mechanics affect fighters. After all, a change is a change, regardless of whether it was a direct one or not. -- BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 16:55, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- I removed it because we never do that and I think that's what the description is for. Does it really need a bullet to signify about a nerf/buff? -- Ethan(Discussion) 17:45, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- Well, many characters in their transitions got changed, either from Melee to Brawl or Brawl to SSB4. And their changes are listed in their respective sections: for example, the removal of meteor cancelling is listed as a benefit to Dorf since he can meteor easily now, while the removal of hitstun cancelling is listed as a hindrance to D3 since he is now the easiest character to combo in the game. -- BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 18:06, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- But, why do we even need it in any if we have a block of text for explaining how they are changed? -- Ethan(Discussion) 19:00, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- We can compress it then. -- BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 19:01, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- I wasn't sure what to call the description so I just called it a block of text. I think it (the description) is for explaining while buff/nerf/change templates are for facts. -- Ethan(Discussion) 19:03, 1 March 2016 (EST)

- I don't care about the amount of text. I'm just saying what it's for. -- Ethan(Discussion) 19:06, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- So you concur with me, or not? I'd still be tempted to continue because it is technically a change. -- BeepYou, a user with no grammar at all :v (talk) 19:18, 1 March 2016 (EST)
- I'd kind of like to not have indirect changes in either sections because the text above the changelist is for explaining how a character changed. -- Ethan(Discussion) 19:39, 1 March 2016 (EST)

9B[edit]
- He's placed 5th at three Smash 4 nationals (Umebura F.A.T., Umebura Niconico Qualifiers, and Shots Fired 2, with the latter of these three being one of the most stacked Smash 4 tournaments to happen so far. He also notably beat Ally at both Umebura F.A.T. and Shots Fired 2, Vinnie at Umebura F.A.T., and Ranai at Shots Fired 2. 9B is more than qualified to be considered a top player for Smash 4, and there are likely other results not accounted for as well. - Whenever you're free next Friday, really. Do you have any preference for our stage list? ANИa (talk) 11:34, 11 May 2016 (EDT)
- I guess we can play after 6:00 PM eastern time. You mean next Friday, so the 20th, right? If you have an Anther's Ladder account, we could use that for communication and stage striking. If not, we could just use like FD, Battle Field and Smashville or whatever you want and use Special:WebChat for communication.

How is that fair?[edit]
Blingo beat raptor a few times at that tournament how can he not be notable he came in third place . Its also referenced on dabuz wiki page even though its less then 20 entrants Blingo also beat dabuz one time . Not fair how it can be notable on one page and not the other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by blingottm (talk • contribs) 21:35 13 May 2016 (EDT)
- First of all, please sign your comments with ~~~~ and make new sections at the bottom of a talk page. Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 22:47, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
- Well, for starters, you need to put your messages at the bottom of talk pages (See SW:TALK). Using "new section" will place it at the bottom of the page so I recommend you use that. Also, you need to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). I was going to fix those but NyargleBlargle already took care of it while I was typing this out.
- I removed Blingo because tournaments that size aren't considered notable. -- Ethan(Discussion) 22:57, 13 May 2016 (EDT)
- Fine, eventually blingo will be acknowledged and notable. Also they were using their mains I have the footage to prove it. Blingottm (talk) 01:05, 14 May 2016 (EDT)
- But I understand I don't want to make any issues . Blingo will go to CEO and try his best. Blingottm (talk) 01:26, 14 May 2016 (EDT)
Rekt[edit]
I didn't realize that submitting an RfA would be like poking a huge group of angry bears... haha, well, thanks for welcoming me! Honestly, I could care less about adminship, I was just wanting to help out in a larger capacity than I felt able to do. I'll continue being a noob on the wiki. Hopefully they don't hate me too much now to throw a ban hammer my way. :P Ubiquittea (talk) 20:59, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
- Nah that'd be an abuse of our power. :P Welcome to the wiki btw, and if you have any questions in the future, feel free to ask. Disaster Flare (talk) 21:00, 16 June 2016 (EDT)

- You're welcome. I don't think we minded the RFA too much, it's just that you have to earn (or show that you are worthy of) adminship, and not just ask for it, even if you can put good use with it. -- Ethan(Discussion) 23:46, 16 June 2016 (EDT)
