As a result of controversies regarding the methods of the previous season, the methodology has received an overhaul. Rankings are now panel-based instead of using an algorithm, in a similar fashion to the [[MPGR]]. The rankings themselves have been extended by 50 places and now ranks the top 100 players instead of 50. Players in Area 51 now count for the PGRU, and five additional players would also be considered 3 months into the season. Disqualifications for entrants would be counted, and a 1-DQ buffer was given to S-tier tournaments. Finally, there would be an off-season starting in December and ending in January. | |||
