Ricky Tilton (b. 1985), also known as Gideon, is the founder of Smash World and Smashboards. In September 2008, Gideon sold his websites to Major League Gaming for a sum of US $500,000. [1]

Smash World was founded in June 1999, when Tilton was 13 years old. Since then, the site's forums, Smashboards have become one of the most prominent competitive Smash Bros. communities, with over 100,000 registered users and 6 million posts. Major League Gaming acquired Smashboards in 2008.
