:::Agreed. I feel like the basis for some of these moves sharing pages with other moves were arbitrarily determined in 2007 or something because they share names and the wiki decided to stick with that ever since. If I want to read about Luigi's Fireballs, I want to read about Luigi's Fireballs, not Mario's. I don't see why every special move can't have a dedicated page, excepting Echo Fighters. <b><span style="color: black;">John</span></b> <b><span style="color: red;">HUAH!</span></b> 14:48, May 12, 2019 (EDT) | :::Agreed. ::::I agree, we should split all the special moves of the same name, unless it is the full clone or Semi-clone. Anyway, Luigi is a pseudo-clone, their differences are too big.--Capstalker (talk) 15:54, May 12, 2019 (EDT) | ::::I agree, we should split all the special moves of the same name, unless it is the full clone or Semi-clone. :::::If we just did it by mechanics, we'd probably be adding around 40 pages regarding special moves. If we separated them by user, we'd be making over 80 pages. It'd still be over 50 if you got rid of the Echo Fighters. It really does not seem necessary to add that meany pages for the reasons you are stating. Can you really justify adding that | :::::If we just did it by mechanics, we'd probably be adding around 40 pages regarding special moves. If we separated them by user, we'd be making over 80 pages. It seems like too much, even with 40. Wolff (talk) 17:09, May 12, 2019 (EDT)
The only special moves are shared between multiple characters yet still share a page: Fireball, Super Jump Punch, Cape, Counter, Dancing Blade, Shield Breaker, Double-Edge Dance, Flare Blade, Power of Flight, Guardian Orbitars, Transform, Pokémon Change, Thunder, Boomerang, Bomb, Pocket, Balloon Trip, Hadoken, Shoryuken, Tatsumaki, Focus Attack, Charge Shot, Missile, Bomb (Samus), Screw Attack, Toad, Peach Bomber, Peach Parasol, Vegetable, Axe, Cross, Uppercut, Holy Water, Critical Hit, Volt Tackle, Zero Laser, Light Arrow, Grand Cross, and Triple Finish.
If these moves were shared because of transformations (such as Triple Finish]], then they can stay. If they actually don’t have any functional differences, like all of Simon/Richter’s or Peach/Daisy’s, or Pocket, they can also stay as one page. Very minor differences, like with Dark Samus or Double-Edge Dance, should also make them merged. Basically, these moves have the same animation, and only differ in small damage values or tiny frame differences. Counter is an exception, as it’s clearly the same move throughout, and each one of the five Marths uses it for the exact same purpose. Blasters and Super Jump Punches are a different story, as they have different animations, different non-damage properties, and different applications. Fox’s blaster is used to rack up damage but deal no knockback, while Wolf’s doubles as a melee and an annoyance. I’m probably explaining this all terribly, but look at each one individually, and tell me that the name is the only thing that matters, because it doesn’t.
