::'Kay, so I just did a little testing of my own on 3DS 1.1.4. Rest Bowser from the starting position on FD, and you usually get 57% damage. But do the same on Battlefield, and you tend to get 55%. Probably it's affected by how the CPU moves in response to being hit, or something like that. (Of course, you won't do as much damage in a real match anyway, since the opponent will shake it off quicker.) ::::Only the flower damage is at issue here. Rest itself is the same as ever - does 20% damage and KOs Mario on 3DS FD at 60%. :::My Wii U is in fact still on 1.1.3, so I tried the same stuff (on Mario and Kirby as well as Bowser) and got basically the same results: flower damage ranges from 35% to 37% for unclear reasons. So yeah, very unlikely there's been any change. == Jigglypuff's typing ==
"again, Jigglypuff is still Normal-type, just Normal/Fairy. you may be confusing it with the Clefairy line, which is now pure Fairy."
...... *facepalms* UGH....**** (and yes/no, I never fully indulged in Generation 6; I stopped long after that). --[[User:SneaselSawashiro|SneaselSawashiro]] ([[User talk:SneaselSawashiro|talk]]) 19:01, 16 August 2016 (EDT)
== "By far" ==
I agree with Iron Warrior on this subject. Jigglypuff was bottom tier in Brawl, and she's still bottom tier in Smash 4, so the difference is not significant enough to warrant a "by far". If Jigglypuff was top tier in all three previous games, then this would be legitimate, but this is not the case. :More than 15 new characters have been added to the roster since Brawl, a not-insignificant number for a character to be contending with on a tier list. If having more characters added than the entire roster of 64, and then failing to overcome ANY of those is NOT a big fall, then God only knows what constitutes a big drop. ::"Bottom tier" to "bottom tier" is not a big drop. If you want to look at it a more statistical manner, Jigglypuff is 36th of 38 in Brawl, which is basically in the 92nd percentile in terms of worst characters in the game. In Smash 4, she's 55th out of 55, which is in the 98th percentile. That's hardly a significant difference, and could be classified as "really really bad" in both games. :::I do argue that percentages are barely relevant here. This has been a past discussion for me, but I still feel the need to consider the large number of new contenders making it that much harder to reach the bottom. Do the revert if you must, but consider that Jigs could just as easily have made a higher tier position due to all the new blood. ::::Well as seen in the reversion and the talk page, there are people who consider a different methodology when determining the relative power of characters across games. This is where it is problematic to use the phrasing "by far." For example, if Jigglypuff was a top tier in all three games and then dropped to the worst character in Smash 4, I don't think anyone would hesitate to argue that she underwent a severe drop in the tier list. But not everyone would agree that going from 36/38 to 55/55 would be considered a "severe drop" in the tier list, so the phrase "by far" should be omitted to avoid causing confusion or giving a false impression of community consensus on the issue.
