Some new changes were implemented mid-season. As a result of several tournaments becoming region-locked, a new multiplier was implemented to the system specifically for those tournaments, with a x0.85 for American tournaments and x1.25 for international tournaments. Furthermore, to accommodate the increased number of players due to the [[COVID-19|COVID-19 outbreak]], the rankings were extended to Top 75. Finally, the algorithm has been overhauled with losses being fully recorded, players getting points for wins on anyone in the top 250 range, and the removal of "thresholds," or the lowest possible placement at a tournament that will factor into the rankings.
