*Starter stages were [[Final Destination]], [[Battlefield]], and [[Smashville]]. Standard stage striking was used.
*Counterpick stages were [[Town and City]], [[Lylat Cruise]], and all Ω forms. There was one counterpick stage ban, but [[Dave's Stupid Rule]] was not used.
**Final Destination and Ω forms would be banned at the same time.
 
===Doubles===
*All singles counterpicks became doubles starters, including all Ω forms. Standard 1-2-2-1 stage striking was used. Striking Final Destination also struck all Ω forms.
