'''Smash Island''' ('''SI''') is a weekly ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' tournament series (formerly {{forwiiu}}) currently held every Saturday at a YMCA in Staten Island, New York (3939 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10312). The first tournament ever recorded on the Smash Island challonge which is just named, "SISmashEvents" was a tournament on January 20th, 2015 titled "JHU Comics" this could also have originally been a 1 time thing due to the next tournament becoming weekly and going under a different name called, "Smash Station". It is run by {{Sm|SPT}}, and streamed on [https://www.twitch.tv/SmashIsland SI's Ultimate Twitch channel] and [https://www.twitch.tv/smashislandssbm SI's Melee Twitch channel]. The VoDs are later uploaded on [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ0gzEZ9xoJ-FSQjd_-hZ1 SI's YouTube channel]. However issues with the venues internet came up and only Melee was able to be livestreamed and Ultimate had to be left offstream. The whole series have also went through different name changes. Currently it's "Smash Island" but it has originally been called "Shaolin Smash" and "Smash Station" due to different ownerships.
