On December 17th, 2005, NorCal's newest large tournament franchise took flight featuring the best of NorCal featuring some of the best from SoCal and Arizona's BloodOfTheFallen. The largest since the end of Mattdeezie's TG era. This year, the franchise's 2nd tournament will take place, The Big One. All the big guys, small guys, and everyone in the middle from NorCal will be there, not to mention several out of state contenders. Here are the details for this year's largest Northern California tournament.

It was part of a series of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]'' tournaments in Northern California. The installments saw some of the largest crowds since {{Trn|Tournament Go}}, which was also well-attended tournament series at the time it took place. The NorCal Tournament series mainly featured smashers from California, but also included players from out of state, such as Japan's {{Sm|S-Royal}}.

• 4 stock, 8 minute limit

• Stages limited to the 6 neutral stages for random, others open for counterpicks.
• Neutral stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Yoshi's Story, Fountain of Dreams, Dreamland 64, Pokemon Stadium.
• Stages banned: Hyrule Temple, Fourside, Flatzone, Mushroom Kingdom, Venom, Brinstar Depths, Icicle Mountain, Yoshi's Island 64, Big Blue and Termina Bay.
• Loser may choose the next stage or elect to go random.
• Winner may change characters.
