'''Japan United Smash Festa Round-Robin 1''' was a ''[[Super Smash Bros.]]'' tournament held on March 26th-28th, 2001. It was one of the most famous tournaments of the era and notably attracted several top players at the time, including {{Sm|Keropi-}} (who was considered the best player), {{Sm|CaptainJack}}, and {{Sm|Prince}}. Unlike most Japanese tournaments, which are held on one day, this was held across three days in a ryokan (traditional Japanese hotel). It was conducted in a [[round robin]] format with items on.

The success of the tournament prompted a sequel the following year, Japan United Smash Festa Round-Robin 2, featuring the then-newly released ''[[Melee]]'' instead. It would become an annual tournament series until 2005.
