Entrants were also allowed to vote on which counterpick stages should be legal, where those that garnering half the votes of the attendees being legal. The eighth tournament in the BEST series was hosted on May 5th, 2012. This tournament was more casual than the other tournaments in the series, serving mainly to get one more tournament in before RPI's semester ended. There was no doubles event, and there was a Brawl Minus singles tournament side event. There was an all access entry fee of $10 ($3 went to ''Melee'' and ''Brawl'' singles each, $2 went to Brawl Minus singles, and the remaining $2 went to food for the attendants), with the payout being 60/30/10 for all events. This tournament was also primarily hosted by Trilok, with Zaandaa taking a backseat in hosting this tournament.
