| Do you think Wikipedia might have articles about the people in the red links on Pit's character info? If there are articles about them, then we could add external links to their Wikipedia articles. - Amycats2 (talk) 21:44, 29 July 2008 (UTC) | | Do you think Wikipedia might have articles about the people in the red links on Pit's character info? | The pictures here are all out of order. The picture of Pit in SSBB is nowhere near the section about him and has no caption. The Pit trophy in Melee is slightly overlapping the words, too. <small>Movie138music - (talk • contribs) 16:45, July 8, 2010 (UTC) </small>

| == Debut system ==
| |
|
| |
| Just wondering, shouldn't be Pit's (and Link's, Zelda's, Ganon's, and Samus's) debut system the Famicom Disk System instead of the NES? Or are we counting them as one? Krisi (talk) 18:36, 9 September 2011 (EDT)
| |
| :We consider those to be equivalent; the tendency is to use the outside-of-Japan name for the console even though the debut was on the Japanese version, primarily since the majority of the English speaking fans know the consoles better by those names. | ::Just because the Famicom Disk System was an add-on to the Famicom, which is considered to be the Japanese equivalent of the NES, by the way, and it used floppy discs instead of cartridges, and these games came out for that. Yes, it's still the Famicom in some way, but they were still released on a floppy format originally, and these games usually had advantages over cartridge-based game (save option, better sound). It's kind of like saying that Sonic CD was released for the Sega Genesis, if you know what I mean. Krisi (talk) 18:45, 9 September 2011 (EDT)
| |
| :::While certain titles were technically FDS in origin, it's standard usage to refer to them as NES games due to the fact that they were the same games, released in the same era, only on a cartridge. <font color="dodgerblue"><span style="font-family:Comic Sans MS;">Miles <font color="silver">(<font color="silver">talk)</font></font></span></font> 19:04, 9 September 2011 (EDT)
| |
| ::::That's not entirely true, because Metroid and Kid Icarus had save files on the FDS but didn't on the NES, and all of these games had much better sound quality. I can see your point though, as the western Wii Virtual Console lists the original Super Mario Bros. 2 as an NES game as well (and I suppose it's the same in Japan, too).
