* Well it even had a twitter [https://twitter.com/smashbrosce?lang=en] link with a discord group in it's description (with download links), so it's easy to verify it's not fake. [[User:SuperSmashFan|SuperSmashFan]] ([[User talk:SuperSmashFan|talk]]), the one who removed it, seems to be one of the devs of this mod and appearently doesn't want the mod to be featured here. About popularity, well it's certainly relatively small compared to the Legacy mods (hard to find a meassure, for example in the Legacy discord there are about 13.5 times more members). It's bigger than some other mods covered on this page, but they fill a niche that is not covered by something similar like Legacy XP (especially the today released Lite version) is to CE, so that might be reasonable to remove it. == Shaving off the less notable mods ==

I suggest we remove the less notable mods from this page. I understand that as a page for modifications in general, it should be allowed to go into detail on various notable mods, but some of these are pretty obscure. The following mods should be removed imo:
*Super Smash Bros. Hex - Abandoned early on and did not receive much recognition. The only recognition from notable players that it did receive was in the form of negative criticism and/or backlash.
*Smash 2 - Seems like at it's best, it only amassed [http://forums.kc-mm.com/Gallery/BrawlView.php?Order=Downloads&ByUserID=33734&action=changePage&Page=1&timeFrame=-1 ~6k downloads] and unlike Legacy TE, there's no tournament presence.
*Smash 2 Plus - See above
*Pretty much every Smash 4 mod - During it's lifetime, there pretty much weren't any major or notable Smash 4 mods. Most notable Smash 4 mod packs were simply reskins of CSS, stages, and music. I don't believe 4XM or Better deserve to be on here.

*Smash 2 should be kept, because prominent Smash Youtubers like Sherwood, Linklight and Aaronitmar have videos with 100k views playing them. They number of downloads on BrawlVault is misleading, because they removed and reuploaded it and on Discord their download link sends you to a mediafire page and not to BrawlVault. 
*4XM should als be kept, it also has videos from these Youtubers with a lot of views and even a video by Hungybox with almost 500k.
*If you wanna remove stuff, I kind of agree with Smash 64 Hex and Smash 4 Better. Included them mainly to say Balance Mods exist for that games and they are the most popular ones.
*Balanced Brawl could be removed with the same argument, although it's probably a bit more notable.
*SSBMSE could also be removed or merged into the Smash Remix section.

I think, instead of having one page called "Gameplay Modifications" we should just try to make pages for all the mods. Project M is the only one who really has one. And the same goes for fan games, they need there own pages too. (Super Smash Flash, Super Smash Land, that one on a calculator) I believe, that since this is SmashWiki, we need as much information as possible about all things Smash Bros, official or not. I do think mods such as Smash Remix (especially), Akaneia, and even Melee 64 or Smash 2 could use their own pages. Heck, Remix could probably even get individual character pages like PM. However I don't have the time and dedication for it nor do I feel the most qualified for all that right now. So here's hoping more will finally see this. :That will never happen on this wiki, PM only got individual character articles because it obtained a real competitive scene so large and long-lasting within the Smash community, to where it was treated as on par with the official games. Smash Remix has had some big competitive stuff happen so far. Though yes it might not ever be PM levels since it's let's face it, not Melee (and doesn't have people going like "OOOHHH!! OHHHH!!!"). Though I guess we will see for now if something happens in the distant future. Getting a general page sometime isn't out of the question though? Hi so I'm the guy who recently added the sections for Akaneia and Melee 64. I'm also the one who typically updates Smash Remix the most. While I think Remix is fine, I do hope others can look more deeply into the info of the other two mods as I think my info may be incomplete and can't really look into it right now. This mostly applies to Wolf in Akaneia. I also think some could use their own pages as said above. Here's hoping people actually see this though. [[User:Wilfredcthulu|Wilfredcthulu]] Feb 27th, 2021.

Smash Remix section is a long reorganized changelog of many versions that the mod went through, but I feel it might be clearer to add this info to the changelog present on its dedicated page, and rewrite its section to be more of a quick overview of the mod, like the other mods featured here. == Rewriting this page ==
Aight i think this page is in need of some big changes, and i'm not sure how to proceed.  
The Gameplay Adjustments section is the biggest "problem", it should absolutely be rewritten, but i'm wondering if some changes aren't needed on the whole structure or the page.   
Main reason is that there will always be some amount of repetition between the "Notable mods" section and the "type of modification" sections, if they are kept as-is. 
Also there should be some place centralizing general information about mods for each game (history, exploits used, general popularity of mods in that game community, etc). 
Maybe we should have one "Modding in each game" section, one "type of modifications" section, and then a Notable Mods section ?

Also i think this page should mention customizations (mods that are just one texture change, like the C9/mango falco or Ult tourneys running a modded PS2 with the pokeball replaced with the tourney's logo), and I don't see where to do that currently.

I suggest condensing the article so that everything above the notable gameplay mods section is under the overview section or cut entirely, as some of that information is redundant and splitting everything by game bloats the article. As for the notable gameplay mods section, those should be split into dedicated articles for each game, similar to how [[List of tips (SSBU)]] is handled.
