Zantetsu is a Smasher who plays the original Super Smash Bros. While Melee is still one of his favorite games, he believes nothing can top the original smash.

Roman, formerly known as BHLMRO and Zantetsu, is an Super Smash Bros., and former Melee, player who resides in Springfield, Missouri. He is currently ranked 1st on the Missouri Power Rankings for Smash 64 and 50th on the 2019-2020 Smash 64 Power Rankings.

Roman began his competitive Smash career in June 2006 when he was only 12 years old. After seeing competitive matches on YouTube, and learning of Kaillera, he began playing Smash 64 online and Melee with a friend. He stopped playing both games around 2009, after frustration of there being no nearby scenes to play with.
History
In January of 2011, Zivilyn Bane, a Melee player from California, moved into Roman's area and contacted him through SmashBoards. Interested in forming a scene, they met up and Roman began playing Melee again. Shortly after meeting, they discovered a Brawl monthly tournament series in the area through All is Brawl. Both players attended and started to play Melee alongside the Brawl tournaments, slowly converting Brawl players over to Melee. This was the start of the Springfield Melee scene that has grown larger ever since.
June 2006: Zantetsu began playing Super Smash Bros. Melee casually after finding it in a collection of games at a neighbors house. Seeing many memories, he decided to start playing the game again. On July 14th, Zantetsu began to figure out more about emulation and learned how to use Project64k and Kaillera to play the original Super Smash Bros. online. Zantetsu realized he was bad at the game when he played his first random opponent, Quickman!. After losing a terrible defeat to the great Ness player, Zantetsu decided to learn more about the game and began to practice.

In March of 2015, Roman had discovered WEEGRO, a Missouri SSB64 player, at a local Springfield SSB64 bar tournament. Upon discovering that a SSB64 scene existed in the state and the game was finally flourishing from all over the world, Roman had decided to retire from Melee in August of 2015, and became an exclusive SSB64 player.
July 2006: Zantetsu found Wak's "Advance how to play" melee video. He started to practice everything in the video and began to try and implement it into both his Melee and SSB64 gameplay.

September 2006: Zantetsu found a site called Smashboards which he was linked to by Nephiros. Zantetsu began to look around the Super Smash Bros 64 forums and learned about a lot of things. Around this time, he had mastered L canceling and started to combo.
