In ''[[SSB4]]'', he was also considered to be one of the best {{SSB4|King Dedede}} players in the world along with ZAKI, though because of the glaring weaknesses of King Dedede, he eventually relegated the character to a secondary in favor of {{SSB4|Mario}} and {{SSB4|Captain Falcon}}. Big D was one of the highest ranked and most consistent player from Vancouver and British Columbia both locally and regionally, having defeated top players such as {{Sm|Larry Lurr}}, {{Sm|Mew2King}}, and {{Sm|Tyrant}}.
