| Ridley sweeps the ground in front of him with his tail. Like most moves involving his tail it has a [[sweet spot]] at the barbed tip which deals more [[damage]]. Covers a very large area in front of Ridley, outranging even his forward tilt and being fairly disjointed thanks to Ridley's tail hurtbox. Its knockback angle allows for combos into most of his aerial attacks, or even up tilt against larger targets at low percentages. These attributes make it a reliable combo starter at lower percentages as well as a decent tool for poking at opponents in neutral, although forward tilt fulfills the latter niche better by being overall safer on shield, especially if sweetspotted.
