Returning from ''Brawl'', a remix/medley of several pieces of music from ''Donkey Kong'', starting off with the track that played during the opening in ''Donkey Kong'' on the NES (which also appeared in ''Donkey Kong Country'', where {{s|mariowiki|Cranky Kong}} would play it on his music box). This is followed by the  "Game Start" jingle, the 25m level music, and the music that played when [[Mario]] picked up the [[Hammer (item)|Hammer]]. This remix is based more upon the NES version of ''Donkey Kong''{{'}}s soundtrack, rather than the arcade version. To emulate this style, it primarily features synths but also incorporates piano and electric guitar.

Much like the original, it is performed in a "big band swing" style with prominent brass and percussion sections, as well as [[wikipedia:Wah-wah (music)|wah-wah]] guitar and piano. The arrangement also incorporates some portions of the Jungle Level theme from ''Donkey Kong Country''.
