Lottery

The Lottery is a slot machine-like minigame in Super Smash Bros. Melee in which players use Coins to try to win a trophy. The more coins that are entered, the better the player's chances of receiving a new trophy, as opposed to one they already have. Up to 20 coins can be inserted at once. Each time a new trophy is won, the odds of getting another new trophy is lowered, which is indicated in a percent, until all trophies are won (0% of getting new trophy).

Even when the player has attained all collectible trophies, the Lottery function can still be used.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the mode is replaced by the Coin Launcher.

• Mushroom Kingdom II, by getting the Birdo trophy.

Trivia

• The music is also used on Trophy Collector.

  Attaining the Blastoise trophy; the lack of a specific overlay denotes that the trophy has been attained in the past.
