Event Match 24: The Yoshi Herd is an Event Match that can be played in the Event Mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

This event match simply pits the player against a herd of Yoshis, with the last one being giant. They all, however, are light and incredibly easy to KO. This event match is played on Yoshi's Island.

Strategies

There are many strategies in this event. Perhaps one of the best characters to use in this event is Pikachu. Constantly spam Thunder to KO the Yoshis (including the Giant Yoshi).

Donkey Kong

Simply use Down+B on all the light Yoshi's, and a Giant Punch on the large Yoshi.

Constantly spamming Up+B kills the small Yoshis easily. For the big Yoshi, you'll just have to keep hitting it until you can throw it off with Up+B.

Captain Falcon

Use side+b to launch Yoshis upward or use down+b to take out several nearby Yoshis. The last one is a very large target for Captain Falcon's major killers, so add up some damage and try a Knee of Justice.

Trivia

This is probably a reference to the herd of Yoshis running as seen in the opening.
