The '''Creeper''' ({{ja|クリーパー|Kurīpā}}, ''Creeper'') is the main antagonist of the popular ''{{s|wikipedia|Minecraft}}'' song parody ''[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPJUBQd-PNM Revenge]'' from {{s|wikipedia|CaptainSparklez}}.

The Creeper first appears staring directly at the main protagonist of ''Revenge'', as the protagonist is frightened by its appearance and runs away. Despite his effort, another Creeper walks up behind the protagonist and blows up, slightly injuring him as he walks home tired. In revenge (hence the song's name), the protagonist begins crafting a set of full diamond armor and a diamond sword, before walking out to the night, slaying a bunch of Creepers as he runs towards his own mine.
The Creeper is a hostile mob in ''Minecraft'' and spawns in the Overworld when the light level is 0. The Creeper was accidentally created when the model for a [[Pig]] had its body's height and length mistakenly flipped, resulting in a distinctive four-legged creature with a long torso and no arms. When it notices a [[Steve|player]], the Creeper will move towards it and explode when close enough, creating a small crater; the explosions are one of the most damaging attacks in the game and can potentially kill the player; it also causes significant damage to any nearby structures, such as player-made housing. The Creeper can also explode when the player ignites the Creeper with flint and steel. When hit by lightning, the Creeper becomes charged and deals even more damage with a larger explosion radius, potentially killing the player even with full diamond armor.

The song is notorious for the starting phrase "Creeper, aw man". This meme surged during mid-2019, as various Discord users would try to reply to the lyrics of ''Revenge'' with no avail. The meme would inspire countless others to repeat this meme with other materials, such as another CaptainSparklez's classic ''[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-sH53vXP2A Fallen Kingdom]''
Killing a Creeper accrues 5 EXP orbs, and it may drop up to two pieces of gunpowder, as well as a random music disc if it is killed by a Skeleton or a Stray. While they usually creep up behind players (hence the name), they can be identified by the distinctive hissing sound they make right before they detonate.

Article on Wikipedia Creeper (Minecraft)

The Creeper (クリーパー, Creeper) is a hostile mob found in Minecraft. It is one of the game's mascots, appearing in its logo, and one of its most iconic design aspects.

Origin[edit]

A Creeper exploding.

The Creeper is a hostile mob in Minecraft and spawns in the Overworld when the light level is 0. The Creeper was accidentally created when the model for a Pig had its body's height and length mistakenly flipped, resulting in a distinctive four-legged creature with a long torso and no arms. When it notices a player, the Creeper will move towards it and explode when close enough, creating a small crater; the explosions are one of the most damaging attacks in the game and can potentially kill the player; it also causes significant damage to any nearby structures, such as player-made housing. The Creeper can also explode when the player ignites the Creeper with flint and steel. When hit by lightning, the Creeper becomes charged and deals even more damage with a larger explosion radius, potentially killing the player even with full diamond armor.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]

As a moveset element[edit]

Several Creepers appear in House of Boom, heading towards the victim before exploding. Their explosions combined with the TNT laying around seems to be what causes the titular "boom". Additionally, a Creeper is seen in one of Steve's victory poses, where it explodes before Steve lands.

As a costume[edit]

The Creeper as a Mii Costume in Ultimate.

A Creeper appears in Round 7 of DLC as a paid Mii Brawler costume. To match the Mii Brawler's model, the Creeper is given a more humanoid appearance with distinct arms and legs. The Creeper performs several Sacrificial KOs throughout the video, referencing the Creeper's attack method of detonating itself. At the end of its costume presentation, it can be seen standing next to a lightning bolt, a reference to it being struck by lightning to turn it into a charged creeper.

Spirit[edit]

The Creeper also appears as an Advanced-class primary spirit in the Minecraft DLC Spirit Board.

The Creeper uses an army of Mr. Game & Watch puppet fighters and is fought on the Minecraft World stage. If the player has already purchased the Creeper DLC costume, the Creeper uses an army of Mii Brawler puppet fighters wearing the Creeper Mask and Outfit instead. During the battle, the army starts off with a Bomber, referencing the Creeper's ability to explode.
