Cyan Can, known as Sushigi in Louisiana, is a retired smasher from Arkansas who mains Luigi in Smash 4 and Luigi in Ultimate. Cyan Can was a high level player in Smash 4, and was arguably the best player in central Arkansas before Phenom entered the scene. Cyan Can took a set off of Aerolink at Mid-South Championships 2016, who was the best player in Texas at the time, and has several regional results overall, as well as many local results. His biggest achievement was taking a whole tournament over the region of St. Louis and winning $1,000[citation needed]. Cyan Can also has arguably the best results of any doubles player in Arkansas in Smash 4 and Ultimate overall. Cyan Can was ranked on all SSB4 Central Arkansas and Statewide Arkansas Power Rankings within the top 6.

Although he played less often in Ultimate, his skill level remained roughly the same. Cyan Can placed top 3 in doubles and top 8 in singles at GDEX 2019, a regional tournament in Ohio, as an unranked player at the time. He also has another handful of Ultimate local results. Cyan Can took a set off LumaDooma while he was ranked #1 in Northwest Arkansas and Fort Smith. Cyan Can is currently ranked 6th on the North Louisiana Season 5 Ultimate Power Rankings.

In other Smash games, Cyan Can plays Melee and has gotten ranked 5th on the Arkansas Melee 2022 Power Rankings co-maining Luigi and Dr. Mario, with his best Melee performance being a top 16 placing at Sunshined 2022. Cyan Can has also organized Melee tournaments in his local region, both online and offline. In Smash 64, Cyan Can has results maining Kirby, mostly in the region of Memphis, where he was PR'd in the top 5 for a brief period, and he was PR'd in Arkansas for a short time in Project M maining Luigi.

Controversy

Cyan Can has been banned for several years on and off by several, but not all, TOs in Arkansas for varying reasons. During the period of 2016 to early 2019, Cyan Can had a series of problematic outbursts at tournaments which led to his local community banning him for his unsettling behavior. Cyan Can quit competing until Summer 2021, where he was subsequently omitted from a PR due to his status. Cyan Can then wrote an apology letter for the incidents after discussing a ban appeal and quit until the next Summer. Cyan Can was then informed that his ban appeal had went through. However, while competing in the Summer of 2022, Cyan Can developed a serious conflict with his local scene. Cyan Can was pressed about how his online was now a problem. Cyan Can expressed that he felt he was being treated differently because he was a previously banned player. Cyan Can once again did not play Smash until the next year, where he competed in North Louisiana due to the local conflict with his scene. Cyan Can then had a series of emotional outbursts online, and ending up cutting himself, due to his problems leading to overwhelming mental stress which caused him to get banned from the Arkansas Melee discord and subsequently North Louisiana. Cyan Can expresses remorse for all the issues involving him in the community, whether he has directly or indirectly caused them, and is no longer involved in any of the communities mentioned.

Regarding mental health: Cyan Can has Aspergers Syndrome, ADHD, and was previously diagnosed with major depression. Cyan Can believes he has another mood disorder but has struggled to get a medical diagnosis as he wants proper treatment.
