Ghosts (オバケ, Obake) are enemies from Luigi's Mansion.

Origin

Various types of ghosts appeared as common enemies in Luigi's Mansion. The three types of ghosts frequently depicted in the Super Smash Bros. series, including the Blue Twirler, Purple Puncher, and the Gold Ghost, are among the common species of ghosts found throughout the mansion.

In Luigi's Mansion, the ghosts are created by ghost painter Vincent Van Gore after the main antagonist, King Boo frees him from his portrait, along with other portrait ghosts. They appear frequently in darkened rooms and never appear in the direction Luigi is looking. They can be defeated by stunning them with the flashlight, exposing their heat, which allows them to be sucked up into the Poltergust 3000.

Ghosts
Ghost variations that appeared throughout Luigi's Mansion. They don't have the spectral power required to manifest any truly unusual ghostly phenomena, so they rely on such pedestrian physical methods as punching Luigi to frighten him. There are also some rare varieties that are very rich and drop a lot of coins.

Ghosts
These mischievous ghosts haunt an old, old mansion. Suck them all up with your Poltergust 3000, but watch out for their attacks while you do! The gold ones' short punches might not be too hard to dodge, but the pink ones have much greater reach. The blue ones will smack the floor to hit you with shock waves!
