*Pit now uses the Guardian Orbitars to create two transparent shields. Although it has not been explicitly stated, it has been implied that this move replaces the Mirror Shield Down Special move he used in Brawl, as Pit crouched before using the move in the E3 Developer Direct video. Pit is shown equipping the Mirror Shield during his new Final Smash, the Three Sacred Treasures, which seems to further suggest that he will not use it in his standard moveset.
*Pit now uses the Guardian Orbitars to create two transparent shields. It is heavily implied, though not directly stated, that this is replacing his previous Mirror Shield. However the likely hood of this is very high, as Pit is shown equipping the Mirror Shield during his new Final Smash attack, as it is one of the Three Sacred Treasures.

Pit (ピット, Pitto) will be a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4. Aside from general graphical enhancements, he sports the animesque look he had in Kid Icarus: Uprising. He has additionally been shown to have some new moves based on the weapons he wields in Uprising.

Confirmed information

 • Pit has a new attack in the Upperdash Arm, expected to be either a dash attack, as the weapon was most notable in Kid Icarus: Uprising for its powerful dash attack, or a side special move, which is supported by the fact that the Angel Ring has yet to be seen. The Upperdash Arm gives Pit some form of launch resistance, just like homing dash attacks in Uprising.
 • Pit now uses the Guardian Orbitars to create two transparent shields.
 • Pit's pose when charging and firing Palutena's Arrow has been slightly altered to look sharper.
 • Pit has a new Up Special move called the Power of Flight, which involves Pit charging up briefly, before flying far in a straight direction.
