Megavitamins is Dr. Mario's neutral special move. The megavitamins are similar to Mario's Fireballs. However, they have a unique bounce arc, fall faster, do more damage, and have distinctive sounds used from the original Dr. Mario game. They are more powerful than Mario's fireballs, doing 8% damage. They are also used in Dr. Mario's taunt, in which he tosses a non damaging Megavitamin up and catches it. The Megavitamin appears as a sticker in Brawl.
Trophy description
Megavitamins come in six color combinations of red, blue and yellow. Dr. Mario uses these capsules by tossing them into contaminated bottles to destroy viruses. The origin of these wonder pills is a mystery, but the most likely theory is that they're the result of Dr. Mario's lifelong efforts to find a cure for the common cold.
Origin
In Dr. Mario, these were used to eliminate viruses. When the player puts three vitamins of the same color together with a virus of the same color, the vitamins and the virus are destroyed.

Trivia
- On hitting an enemy, Megavitamins produce an extra, distinctive sound effect in addition to a standard impact sound (specifically, one in the Koopa Shell area). However, Kirby does not manage to copy this sound effect; his Megavitamins only produce the shell noise on contact.
