JAPAN 24 was a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate invitational tournament part of the Maesuma series held in Osaka, Japan, from December 24th-25th, 2022. The winner, acola, received a specially made mechanical wristwatch by Tanaka Watch Works.[1]
Format
The round-robin group phase on December 24th had 4 groups of 6, which decided the final 16-person double-elimination bracket on December 25th. 1st and 2nd place in each group advanced to Winners, 3rd and 4th advanced to Losers, and 5th and 6th were eliminated. Any ties were broken by least games lost, then, if needed, by head-to-head record.
