First of all, I like that you ignored the perfectly good reasons I gave in the rule itself for the existence of the rule, and simply went with "that's stupid". Real constructive, bro. Second of all, you don't enforce it per se, you just expect users to abide by the rules and not be dicks. If you suspect someone of ignoring another user, you ask them if that's the case, and if so then why, and how can you help resolve this issue for them. Third of all, since when was adding one tiny rule about IRC without community discussion against the rules? What's your problem with the rule? Other than it being "stupid", of course... :Because I don't trust the administration to properly deal with users that are being disruptive. The best example I have is Piratehunter, who was allowed to freely personally attack people on IRC without any sort of negative repercussion. The way people would deal with him while the ops did nothing about him was by use of the ignore command, and it was neither rude nor deconstructive. Furthermore, if I want to use the ignore command, I want to use the ignore command, end of story. The ops should have no say in that matter; there isn't any reason they should have any say in that matter. If you want, you can add a clause that ''discourages'' the use of the ignore command, but banning it is unnecessary authoritarianism.
And the fact that I don't use IRC or the fact that I have never used the ignore command is irrelevant; I disagree on principle after seeing its positiveness in action. <span style="font-family:Triforce, sans-serif;">'''[[User:Dr. Pain 99|<font color=navy>D<font color=#190080>o<font color=#310080>c<font color=#490080>t<font color=#620080>o<font color=purple>rP</font>a</font>i</font>n</font>9</font>9</font>]]'''</span>[[Image:DP99Majora.png]] 18:12, 5 April 2013 (EDT)
