A Zoomer (top) in Smash Run.

Zoomers are enemies in the Metroid franchise. They appear in Smash Run in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as enemies, where they move along the shape of the terrain.

Origin

Zoomers are basic enemies from many Metroid games, debuting in the first game in the series on NES. They are not immediately hostile to Samus, and simply move along the borders of terrain. Zoomers are generally weak and easily dispatched by a few shots.

The Smash Run appearance of the Zoomer is based on its sprite from Super Metroid.
