This page defines the various types of SmashWiki users. A list of all registered users may be found at Special:ListUsers.

Access types

Types of identified users, listed here in roughly ascending order of power, include:

  • IP addresses — Visitors who haven't logged in or are unregistered.
  • Registered/Logged-in users — Users who have registered an account. Registered users can upload files.
  • Autoconfirmed users — See SmashWiki:Autoconfirmed users.
  • Established users — See SmashWiki:Autoconfirmed users#Established users.
  • Rollbackers — See Smashwiki:Rollback.
  • Administrators (sysops) — See SmashWiki:Administrators.
  • Bureaucrats — Bureaucrats (also known as B'crats) can turn other users into sysops or bureaucrats. Bureaucrats are created by other bureaucrats on projects where these exist. Sysoppings are recorded in Special:Log/rights.
  • BotsBots are automated users. Their edits do not show up in the recent changes. Bots generally exist to help the wiki with technical issues, but they can be hacked. If you see a bot acting improperly, notify an Administrator.
