In this mode, the player can only play with players registered on their friend roster. In Brawl, this is the only online mode where records are kept and names can be seen. Opponents will be able to see the player's profile icon and comment before battle. In Ultimate, this was feature was replaced with Battle Arenas, which allows the creation of password and friend-limited arenas.
