Now You're Playing with Portable Power! is an upcoming a Spirit Board event focused on Spirits that debuted on the Game Boy or Game Boy Color. It will run from 6 a.m. on September 25, 2020 to 6 a.m. on September 28, 2020 (UTC). During the event, defeating Spirits on the Spirit Board which are part of the event will award more Gold than usual.

Description

North America

Spirits that made their debut on Game Boy or Game Boy Color are coming to the Spirit Board! Defeat them in battle to earn extra gold.

Legend-class spirits will also appear at set times. Play it loud!

• Similarly to Classics! in PAL regions (known as "Now You're Playing With Spirit Power!"), the event's title references the Game Boy's slogan used by commercials, which was shared with the Nintendo Entertainment System and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Meanwhile, the Japanese title of the event references the phrase said in the first commercial for the Game Boy itself.
• In contrast to other Spirit Board events based on a specific console (such as Classics! and Get N or Get Out), the majority of spirits included in this event use artwork that are not used for Game Boy games. Of the 33 spirits included in the event, only 12 of them use artwork originally used for a Game Boy game.
