Xerneas (ゼルネアス, Xerneas) is a fictional creature from the Pokémon series.
Origin
Xerneas is a Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon that serves as the version mascot of Pokémon X. Legend says that it possesses the power to bestow eternal life. In the National Pokédex, it is registered as #716.
Geomancy is Xerneas' signature move, which is a Fairy-type move that only Xerneas can learn naturally: after one turn spent charging, it raises the user's Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed by two levels each.
In Super Smash Bros. 4
As a Poké Ball and Master Ball Pokémon
Xerneas appears as a Poké Ball and Master Ball summon in Super Smash Bros. 4. When summoned, it uses its signature move, Geomancy; this causes all players' attacks to have increased knockback, though the summoner is affected by this boost more than the other players.
In both versions it must be unlocked by completing a specific challenge before being able to appear:
- In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS: play Target Blast at least once.
- In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U: break 200 blocks in a single solo game of Trophy Rush as Pikachu.

- The horns on Xerneas's head give this Fairy-type Pokémon the power to bestow eternal life. It emanates energy with a move called Geomancy that causes all the fighters to glow. As pretty as it is, this makes everyone more easily launchable. Know when to take advantage and when to lay low.
- The horns on Xerneas's head give this Pokémon the power to bestow eternal life. When summoned in a match, energy will emanate from it and make all fighters glow. Pretty it may be, but this Geomancy move makes everyone much easier to launch. Knowing that, will you take advantage of the situation, or try to stay out of the way?
