Feyesh (パッチ, Patch) are enemies in Adventure Mode: The Subspace Emissary that first appears in the Sea of Clouds level. It appears as an airborne slightly fish-like creature with a giant cycloptic eye, as the name implies, and a quintet of electricity-producing tentacles it attacks with underneath its body. The damage and knockback accrued depends on the difficulty level and the number of tentacles that hit. It can fly normally, but when it spots a potential opponent, it dashes towards it. Ironically, a Feyesh will vanish into bubbles if it touches water in any stage.

Name origin[edit]

Feyesh is the word fish with the word eye included in place of the letter I, a reference to how eye is pronounced like said vowel and the eye of the Feyesh.

Trophy[edit]

Feyesh's trophy in Brawl
Feyesh
An enemy that, at first glance, looks like a goldfish, with a tail and dorsal fin. It turns out to be more crazy-eye creature than fish. (And what's with the funky dangling tentacle thingies?) Floating lazily through the air, a Feyesh usually looks like it's sleeping. BUT! When it spots you, its eye opens, and it attacks with its five tentacles. Gaahh! Attack of the Tentacles!

  • The Feyesh looks similar to the Mogall and Arch Mogall enemies from the Fire Emblem series, The Legend of Zelda enemy Patra and the Monoeye from the Kid Icarus series, as all three somewhat hover and are mostly made up of a single eye.
