After selecting a character in either mode, players are taken to a unique waiting area which is an exact replica of the stage chosen, also containing a CPU that is a slightly darker clone of the player's character that remains idle (except to [[Recovery|recover]]) until damaged for any reason, at which point it begins attacking. If the match does not start after some time, a second appears.
