This

It looks like her up tilt. What do people think? Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 12:07, 12 September 2013 (EDT)

I'd agree with that. However, other people will probably tell you that you're speculating and you can't put it in the article, Although if anything here is speculation, it's the forward air, it looks more like a back air to me. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 13:19, 12 September 2013 (EDT)
In that image Peach is holding her crown (which she doesn't take off in her back aerial) and it doesn't really look like her back aerial IMO. And I know it could be speculation, but I dunno what other move it could be. Scr7Scr7 sig.png(talk · contribs) 13:22, 12 September 2013 (EDT)
You're assuming the back air will be exactly the same as it was in Brawl. Nothing stops Peach from getting a new back air. Look at the way Peach's body is facing, and the starting point of the air-slice-thing. It looks like she's supposed to be facing the other way, but is doing a backhanded crown attack. Toast Wii U Logo Transparent.pngltimatum 16:12, 12 September 2013 (EDT)

I think it looks like her u-tilt, but I could be wrong. Boo BuddyHaunter MS.png 14:46, 12 September 2013 (EDT)

Forward Smash, dash attack, midair jump, Peach Bomber

Can someone link me the videos where these supposed changes are seen? I would like to verify them, especially the forward smash one, as "has a different animation" is very vague. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 09:53, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

Her Fsmash looks the same to me, I don't know where that came from. The peach bomber is shown a couple times in the april direct, once during the "Technical Tidbit" and once during the "Differences Between", if anywhere else as well. The dash attack is also seen in the former section. The jump might have been shown only in the Smash Run section, which means its not accurate due to powerups, but I don't know for sure. FirstaLasto 11:09, 14 May 2014 (EDT)

to awnser the question of "Omega Tyrant" and to complete what "FirstaLasto" said, yes, her side smash animation has changed.now, instead of using her 2 hands to hit her opponents, she only hits with one hand. and about her midair jump, yes it changed.it seems to give her the same altitude from melee and it wasn't in smash run mode.it was in normal gameplay. here's a picture of her new side smash animation:[1] and here's the video that shows peach's midair jump:[2] put at 0:57 Pudim (talk) 19:43, 19 May 2014 (EDT)pudim

There are many things wrong with this post. One, post in the section you're responding to, don't make a new section. Two, don't just throw a link down, put it in brackets, especially when the url is that huge. Third, when linking a video, link to the time in the video that what you're pointing out occurs. Fourth, use proper grammar and punctuation in your post, that post was just atrocious to read.
With that said, thanks for providing the links, but construct your posts better in the future. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:06, 19 May 2014 (EDT)
that was the rudest reply i ever read! 1st:everybody has grammar problems and i'm brazilian,my english isn't very good mr perfect english.
2nd:yesterday was my first day here,do you really thing i would know all that i had to do?
3rd:really?i was replying to your question and instead of thanking me and being polite you do this rude and strict reply?!Pudim (talk) 11:17, 20 May 2014 (EDT)Pudim
"that was the rudest reply i ever read! 1st:everybody has grammar problems and i'm brazilian,my english isn't very good mr perfect english."
It's not just "bad english", you flat out put barely any effort into making your post readable. Certainly a language barrier doesn't prevent you from putting some spacing into your post and using some capitalisation.
"2nd:yesterday was my first day here,do you really thing i would know all that i had to do?"
Which is exactly why I told you what to do with posting so you would know.
"3rd:really?i was replying to your question and instead of thanking me and being polite you do this rude and strict reply?!"
And you replied in the wrong manner with many problems in your post, which I told you how to fix. Being rude != ensuring new users know how to properly respond on talk pages. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 18:00, 21 May 2014 (EDT)

Peach's voice?

So,someone wrote that:"she will be voiced by Samantha Kelly, although audibly through the same voice clips from Super Smash Bros. Brawl" and there's a link to the april 8 smash direct. but Peach didn't even have voice in the april 8 smash direct,so why did somebody say that? Hue hue (talk) 18:52, 7 July 2014 (EDT)

Peach's possible changes in moveset.

On September 12, 2013, Peach was confirmed to be in the game. The following quote states: "Pic of the day. Peach joins the battle! We've added 10 pictures of her on the website, but keep in mind that the game is still in development. Her moves may be refreshed by the time the games are released." This confirms that Peach will have a new moveset, and thus possibly why Peach wasn't available in the Smash Bros. demo for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Her specials may change so Vegetable may or may not be replace with a new of different move. We'll just have to wait and see. The Smash Brotha (talk) 12:49, 29 July 2014 (EDT)

That was awhile ago, and it didn't confirm. It said "may", he was just pointing out that they're early in development and could easily change all kinds of things, such as Peach's moveset. I think Vegetable was confirmed, anyway. ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 13:43, 29 July 2014 (EDT)
It's hard to come up with a custom move for Vegetable. All I can think of is Mega Vegetable and Mini Vegetable but none of that is confirmed so I should stop talking. We should wait and see what will happen. Also there should be a speculation page. The Smash Brotha (talk) 09:44, 30 July 2014 (EDT)
That's what forums are for, I suggest you use SmashBoards. Laikue (talk) 09:53, 30 July 2014 (EDT)
Nope, I use 3DSPedia.com. I earn these things called Play Coins and I can exchange them for stuff on there like Nintendo eShop codes and other stuff I can't name! Join if you want? The Smash Brotha (talk) 10:01, 30 July 2014 (EDT)

Final Smash

"Lack of Glide Tossing"

This keeps being added to Peach's page as a nerf and it's kind of a problem. There isn't a lack of Glide Tossing in the game as proven here (works for characters with items like Diddy Banana, Peach Turnip etc). People just need to generally avoid saying an AT isn't in the game because noone has discovered it yet. Aurist (talk) 17:51, 21 September 2014 (EDT)

Greeting, Aurist! Glide toss and Jump cancel throw are different techniques in Brawl. They both allow Peach to slide while using her turnips (this is where the confusion comes from) but they are performed differently. Glide toss involves cancelling a roll while Jump cancel throw involves cancelling a dash and jump. Because Glide toss is easier to perform, Jump cancel throw is often wrongly referred to as a Glide toss. The video you linked shows a Jump cancel throw. It doesn't show a Glide toss! "Glide toss" shouldn't be in this video's title. It is no longer possible to cancel a roll in SSB4, meaning Glide toss has been removed. However, it is still possible to cancel a dash and a jump, meaning Jump cancel throw is still in! I hope I was able to clear out all the confusion! Cheers! --ZeroBlindDragon (talk) 19:20, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
Oh, that's my bad then. I didn't realise they were separate techniques. Thanks for clearing that up :) Aurist (talk) 21:18, 21 September 2014 (EDT)

Wording of bugfix changes

This is my reasoning for keeping the wording as "fixed bug where X" as opposed to "the technique X has been removed".

  • It's a little simpler, only needing one sentence per bullet as oposed to two.
  • It emphasizes that developer intent is primarily to fix bugs, not remove techniques. All of the given fixes are quite clearly glitches (as opposed to, say, wavedashing), so calling these "fixes" makes more sense than "removals".

Now, if people really want to complain mention how fixing bugs results in removing techniques, we could do something like "fixed bug where X, resulting in removing the Q technique". But I think that's unnecessarily wordy. Toomai Glittershine ??? The Polychromatic 10:56, 19 January 2015 (EST)
