Tyrant began competing in ''Brawl'' playing {{SSBB|Meta Knight}}, and he was considered one of the best Meta Knight players in the United States, ranking 13th on the [[2014 SSBBRank]] and most notably placing 2nd at the {{Trn|MLG Dallas 2010}} championships. He was also the best player in SoCal, ranking 1st on the [[SoCal Brawl Power Rankings]] since late-2009. After making the transition to ''Smash 4'', he continued to play {{SSB4|Meta Knight}} and was one of the best Meta Knight players in the world from 2015 to early-2017, defeating multiple top players such as {{Sm|MkLeo}}, {{Sm|Dabuz}}, {{Sm|Larry Lurr}}, {{Sm|VoiD}}, and {{Sm|Elegant}}.
